About my life:

Hi!

I won’t bore you with the details of my education, but I will say… GO NOLES!

Now that that’s out of the way, hey, as you’ve probably read somewhere before getting to this part of the website, my name is Melisa.

I started in the creative field as an illustrator now turned photographer, who just happened to love graphic design.

Too much? I am a firm believer that to create the best artist in yourself, you must let yourself explore, fail, and try again. So, that’s just what I do. I love creating simply for the sake of creativity and because of this, I’ve learned a lot along the way.

I started my career in photography because I loved telling stories, I enjoy putting together a visualization to help those around me convey their message. I have found that with graphic design, I get to do the same thing – it brings structure to a message to tell a story. The two, I have found, are deeply intertwined.

I am a full-time content creator for a specialty rigging company - mainly dealing with photography, video production, and graphic design. In my free time, I like to take photographs (mainly of my life) but I love scheduling creative shoots (mainly with my friends).

A few things about me:

1.     I like to craft with polymer clay. I dabble in jewelry making.

2.     I am deeply afraid of heights, but I will suck it up if it means I get the shot.

3.     Chia seed pudding is my favorite thing in the world, but I can’t look at it because I have Tropophobia.

4.     I love my two cats, Louise and Stevie, and my dog, Itachi more than anything else in this world.

5.     Medellin is my happy place… but so is the beach.
